Genesis 1:27-28
27 So God created human beings in his own image.
In the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
28 Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”
You were created in the image of a Creator.
That means you are also a creator.
You have an immense power to solve problems, shape the future, and decide how things that are not will be.
Every morning that you awake, you hover over the darkness of your. day that is not yet formed--you have not yet lived it.
The question is, will you create light and order or will you tolerate the darkness?
By darkness I mean chaos, untapped potential, disorder, and unformed substance.
You have words to speak that have yet to be spoken.
You have goals to achieved that have yet to be completed.
You have challenges, misunderstandings, and problems that have yet to be surmounted.
The conflict between you and your friend, the loneliness, the unwritten post, the unexplored emotions will not resolve themselves.
Thank God He created creators.
By His Spirit, we create words that should be spoken, care that should be given, solutions for problems, and a world that is better for everyone.
What's something unformed or chaotic that requires your creativity today?
How might you invite God to create light and beauty with you?
