Hebrews 11:33-34
By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions, quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight.
I struggle to believe that I will accomplish anything noble because I fixate on my weaknesses.
I seem to obsess over my inadequacies.
It blinds me to my power of choice.
I don’t feel like I have options, so I believe that I don’t have options.
I don’t feel like I am worthy, so I believe that I’m not worthy.
I don’t feel like God is doing anything for me, so I believe that He isn’t.
But I have a choice.
I can choose what I believe.
I can choose to believe something that I don’t feel.
That’s what faith is all about.
“By faith” = “choosing to trust God enough to act.”
Just enough to act.
It’s not about understanding. It’s not about strength.
It’s about trusting enough.
Stop waiting on your strengths to turn your weaknesses into strength.
Choose to trust God enough.
What two or three weaknesses make you feel like you can’t have faith?
What’s one thing that could help you trust God enough when those weaknesses show up?
